How DMZ works

The Bank and the Stash

How much the Stash holds, how it grows, what takes space, and how the Bank works.

Quick answers

How big is the DMZ Stash?
40 items and 12 weapons at the start.

The Bank

The Bank holds your DMZ Cash at the FOB.

  • Cash only reaches the Bank when you extract. You start every deployment with zero cash on you.
  • The Bank has a cap. 3D Printer upgrades raise it. The cap and upgrade steps have not been published.
  • MIA recovery, Gunsmith purchases, infils, Boss Board intel and Prestige are all paid from the Bank.

The Stash

The Stash holds your gear between runs.

At the start Grows at
Item slots 40 +18 at DMZ levels 22, 45 and 70
Weapon slots 12 +6 at DMZ levels 35 and 60

3D Printer upgrades can raise both further.

What uses space

  • Resources (Synthetics, Electronics, Chemicals, Metals) take no Stash slots.
  • Ingredients, gear, keys and valuables each take a slot.
  • Both the Stash and the Bank are shared by all your Active Duty Operators.

When it is full

Activision’s guide says to discard items only when the Stash is full and the Bank is maxed. Before that, sell valuables you do not need, open Survival Kits only when you have room, and print an upgrade.

See the FOB.
