Quick answers

What is the Stealth Meter?
A HUD warning and audio cue that fills before AI spots you.

The Stealth Meter warns you before AI spots you.

How it works

As an AI soldier starts to notice you, an audio cue plays and a HUD indicator fills, going from white to yellow to orange. If it completes, you have been spotted and the fight starts.

How to react

  • Break line of sight. Step behind cover the moment the meter starts.
  • Go prone in grass or low cover.
  • Back off rather than pushing through a patrol.

Why it matters

Getting spotted raises the area’s threat level and brings reinforcements. Staying hidden keeps the Hostiles Kill Count low and the area quiet. The Warfighter Trait Viper Sense hides you from thermal optics and AI targeting.

The Stealth Meter was designed with solo players in mind. See playing solo and threat levels.
