In Multiplayer, Field Upgrades recharge over time. In DMZ they do not. Once you use one, it is gone for the rest of the deployment.
What that means
- Treat a Field Upgrade like any other consumable: bring it for a reason.
- You can carry Field Upgrades as loot and print them at the 3D Printer. The Field Upgrades category opens at DMZ level 12, starting with the Ammo Box. The Spotter Scope recipe arrives at the same level, but the printer files it under Tacticals. The Armor Box recipe follows at level 14, and the printer also has a Rebreather for breathing underwater.
The Armor Box
The Armor Box is one of only two ways to bring extra armor plates into a match (the other is a Trait that enlarges your armor slot). That makes it one of the most useful Field Upgrades for squads.
Recharging Lethals and Tacticals
The Warfighter Trait Equipment Professional slowly recharges Lethals and Tacticals after use. It does not affect Field Upgrades.
